Arrogance always makes me livid, the thought that humans above all animals are God like when we have started and fought over 15,000 major wars for not much does not prove that we are God like, it proves we are dangerous predators who can’t stop killing. If we are made in God’s image I fear for the afterlife and who must be there.

Dear Jim,

Is God not unbelievably wonderful and gracious.
I am so glad that we have remained friends through all these years. He is faithful to finish the work that He began in us. We are blessed to be used by our Savior and God but we are far more fortunate to be adopted into His eternal family.
May our later years be our most blessed simply because we know Him better and trust him more fully.
I love you my friend and I miss your companionship.

Jim, You should write the rest of the story, it seems to me that you left a lot out. It would be interesting to see if Mom & Dad saw you as the responsible one? I believe Dad went to his grave with much heartache about all his sons. As to your question, I believe the answer is in the story of the log and the spec in the eye.
